26. Wally Badarou

Music | Wally Badarou
Wally Badarou first hung out with a toy-piano and a Korg 800-DV synthesizer. Then with Grace Jones and Sly & Robbie. And then with Level 42. Joe Claussell loves the guy, and so do I. A cool man indeed.
Wally Badarou - Chief Inspector.
From the Wally Badarou solo album Echoes, released on Island Records in 1984.

25. Caligula

History | Caligula
To most people Caligula is just some old roman dude. And to some the guy from A Clockwork Orange shooting of his cum to the left and right with Helen Mirren in that bullshit movie. Anyway, there is a lot more to Caligula than that. Being the inventor of modern madness he has a numerous of amusing adventures under his belt. Like the time he made the racing horse Incitatus consul and built it a grand palace with furniture and servants so the guests invited in it´s name could have a better time.
Read all about the adventures of Caligula here or pick up a copy of Suetonius The life of the Caesars here.
If you absolutely feel you must see that movie you can get it here or here (torrent).

24. Nanga Parbat

Extreme | Nanga Parbat
If you´re pretty bored with your urban middleclass life and feel like doing something diffrent and extreme instead (like I do) you should go and climb Nanga Parbat. Of course, if you´re not one of the top 10 climbers in the world you will die (wich i don´t feel like doing). So, that means it´s time to start training. If you know me and think this is a great idea, give me a call and we will start planing the 2012 expedition to Nanga Parbat together. If you know me and think this is the most stupid thing you´ve ever heard please don´t call.

20. This Season

Fashion | This Season
With the outdoor tennis season just around the corner it´s time update your gear. This season all that matters is Ivan Lendls Mizuno collection at the end of his career. It has all you need to be a smash hit on and off the court, tracksuite, shirt, shorts, shoes, vest, bag, racket and a hat. Just check out that hat. Amazing. Like with most nice things you can´t really buy them anywere, but if you look hard you might be able to pick it up here.

17. New Old Love

Music | New Old Love
If there´s one thing I love it´s when someone takes an old pretty boring song and turn it into something really great without adding anything. Its a nice feeling when you know that it was all there from the start, just not presented the right way. This one will keep you dancing thru the weekend. Probably re-cut by Norways finest, Todd Terje.

16. Flea Market Montgomery

Commercial | Flea Market Montgomery
Owner Sammy Stephens is the star in this commercial for his flea market (it's just like a mini mall) but don't be fooled, it wasn't filmed in the 90's. Allthough the rap certainly brings back memories of a Fresh Prince in Bel Air. Opinions aside, he is certainly getting exposure!

14. Intervention

Music | Intervention
Sometimes music gives you that larger than life feel. This is the case with Intervention. The demo version of it on that Arcade Fire B-sides album was great but it´s not until now with a production big enough to match the emotional qualities of the song that it really explodes. Could possibly be the best song ever. Play it over and over until your heart breaks.
The Arcade Fire - Intervention.

11. Number 99

Sport | Number 99
Back in the day 99 used to be coolest number out there. But after Wayne Gretzky left the game things havn´t been the same. To wear 99 has for some years now been the most uncool thing you could do in sports. But the wind is changing. With Ronaldo taking on 99 in AC Milan it feels like the number once again have found a man worthy of its charm.

09. Reinhold Messner

Mountaineer | Reinhold Messner
Not only does Reinhold Messner climb
a lot of high mountains. He also writes
great books about it. This, plus the fact
that he looks like a mix between that
guy in the Bee Gees and a grizzly bear
and is one of the few persons who claims
to have seen Yeti makes him a very
cool man.
